Guys Im getting an 06GT automatic.I getting gears(430's) and want to get a high speed converter..what is needed to accomadate these,computer chip?

Do you mean a "High-stall" torque converter? Is this car going to be your daily driver?

yes,I have one in my 93LX(2800rpm) and it is no problem with street manners.But Im not sure what will be needed with the 06,being everything is computerized.

I was kind of set on a precision industries converter,I'll go check this site first.

I would think that you should get a tuner for your car, no matter if you make any additional mods or not. PI makes great converters, although you will pay for it ($$). I don't have any experience with the new auto, but I would think that a tuner would be absolutely necessary. As I said before, I would get a tuner anyway no matter what.

so all I would have to do is recalculate the shift points? Is there any info out yet to see how to correct the speedo after the gear install?

The SCT Xcal 2 will change it all. For an auto I would go with alternativeauto.com

they are tuners?,,,Im looking at getting one "next" fall,I will have money put aside,so after the first 1000 miles its going in the shop for 430's high speed stall(will look into what size will be best) Bassani exhaust,and shift kit if needed! I think the new body style is the best looking Mustang ever!

Don't forget as good tranny cooler!!!

On a hot day, those 4.30s will spin your automatic into next week and fry you dinner at the same time...

actually I wouldnt need one for just the gears but with a high speed stall its a must,at least for the old AOD's it is.I dont know alot about these new trannys.

It's all CNCd high tech carbon fiber / polycarbonate materials.

The SCT tuner program is to be completed next week.

This is a great mod to add to your list.
