I have a 1966 fastback mustang, am taking the power sterring sys of a 68 mustang...I am useing the 68 spindles, bought new 67 68 tie rods...,,when I bolt it all together from one end of the tie rod to the other end of the tie rod its about 43 in....exactly the same as the existing 66 manul tie rod end to tie rod end measurement......should fit right ? can anyone exsplain why I am about 2 inches to long ? do the 68 spindles narrow the gap where the tie rods bolt onto them ? I have the the tie rods narrowed as much as I can ........ should I have used 66 tie rods ?....any ideas on how to make this work ?

I'm going straight to Hades for this one, but I can't resist such a softball being lofted in front of me. I don't know what suspension geometry has to do with the subject, but being 2 inches too long is a problem that most of us do not have and we have no advice pertaining to that subject .
