adj clutch at firewall ir elsewhere if I have a adjustable cable and quadrant?

I have a summit adjustable clutch cable and quadrant. Also a Firewall adjuster.

Do I just use the firewall adjuster to adjust the cluch?

If so, How do I do it? What is the procedure for adjusting the firewall adjuster. I have a BBK firewall adjuster, I believe.

Right now, with the clutch depress in 1st, slowly liftingthe clutch it gets about 1'2 way before it starts to creep forward...does it need adjusting?

Will it need adjusting as it wears or just for driver pedal height preference?

Using the firewall adjuster is much easier than adjusting with the cable. To adjust it you just unscrew it to take slack out of the cable, in to get more slack. I use a Steeda quad, stock cable, and Steeda firewall adjuster. I adjust it so there is just a slight amount of play in my clutch pedal, that way I know my clutch is fully releasing, and I don't have any issues shifting.

thought of a question,

If the adjustment you make is with a bit of play in the pedal...does that imply that the adjustment will simply vary the amount of play and not actually affect how high the pedal is off the floor when it begins to engague?

MY stock clutch grabbed right off the floor...I had to get used to the new clutch which grabs a good deal higher but seems to be engauging completely...

Yes it would affect what height your pedal is engaging because if you don't have any slack in your cable, your throwout bearing is riding or slightly pressing on your pressure plate. Then it wouldn't take as much travel of the pedal to disengage the clutch because it's already pressing on it.
