Does anyone out there know a company that makes adjustable struts for the 2004 GT? My car's in the shop after a bit of an accident, and the owner of the place (Okay, me too) wants to find some adjustables for the front since the stock struts are banged up and need to be replaced. Anyone know? Koni, KYB and Tokico all seem to stop at 2003 since there was some adjustment to the suspension for the 2004's.

Accident was a bummer, but I'm getting some custom paint work done dirt cheap since all of the front end pieces need to be replaced anyhow. Never let a Crown Vic taxi cab hit you right in the wheel well!

Yeah, I talked to the Ford parts guys today and since the PN's are the same for their struts, I figure I can use the KYB's, too. I guess they must have tweaked the spring rates or something. That's what I get for listening to a salesman at a tire place.

Okay, next question - anyone using the KYB AGX adjustables have any suggestions for a good street setting?

I run AGXs on my 98 Cobra. I love them...very responsive to adjustment.

Settings:
FRNT RR
Street-Nice, cruise setting = 2 3
Street-Sporty, 1 or 2 passengers = 2 4
Hard driving on ramps, hwy, etc. = 3 4-5
1/4 mile runs = 1 1
Drifting, auto-x = 4 4-8

Ok...ballpark figures that work for MY car, with MY tires, and MY springs...but you surely get the idea.

My favorite settings are 2 fr and 4-5 rr. This setting really makes my car feel more neutral... much less push, but not loose.

You'll like 'em!

I know they say 94-01 but they will fit your '04 GT since they fit on my '04 Mach1

Thanks, guys. The reason I'm going with the KYB's is the guy who's fixing my car (Got the estimate today - $9,900...insurance is wonderful!!!) can get them dirt cheap. He's a member of my "extended" family, so I'm getting a deal on those and the custom paintwork (Tribal patriotic flag - I'll post a pic when it's done). He can get the SLP catbacks cheap too, but I don't want to go that loud, I don't think. Just get a nice calm Borla system of something.

Anyhow, thanks again!
