I installed my intake and i'm still idling kind of high and it revs down slow. I bought a new tps when i installed the intake. And i can't seem to figure out how to adjust it. Where abouts in the picture below would i adjust it so it idles properly. I don't see where on the tps itself where anything can be adjusted. thanks in advance.

BTW: what i mean by the high idle is that it sticks at 1200rpms then drops down to normal, i checked the voltage and it's normally between .97-.99 but every few seconds it jumps to 1.03. and this is on a new tps and it's been on the car for a few months now.

to the best of my knowledge the TPS can not be adjsuted with out notching the screw holes to give it room to slide to diff positions..check and clean your IAC that is more likely to be the cause I would think...also check to make sure all the vacume lines are still wlroking right..

You have to make sure that the prongs in the TPS are resting on the throttle body blade. Use your pinkie to determine which way the prongs turn...then you may have to rotate the TPS about a quarter turn to slide it onto the TB blade. Position the screw holes and tighten it up.

You should clean out or get a new IAC. Leave the TPS alone.

The car is supposed to idle high when you first turn it on, then the rpms slowly come down. As far as it idling properly when unplugged, thats because of the throttle stop. Its adjusted so that the plate is open enough to allow a certain amount of air into the engine, in case the tps or iac aren't fuctioning properly.

Mustangs have a two stage idle. They will idle high then kick down. Mine idles about 1000rpm and kicks down to 800rpm. You might also be suffering some idle hang, from 1800rpm to 1100rpm, meaning it drops REAL slow, there is a mod you can do to address that.

there is enough play to adjust the TPS sensor with out notching it. Tyr to get between .97volts and .99volts to get the best reaction from the TPS.
