I am adjusting the vavles on my 351W. I have the book "how to rebuild small block Fords" in it it shows you how to adjust the vavles in three positions of the crank, and which vavles to adjsut at that time, the problem that I am having is that when I look at the lifter, in the lifter valley it is up indicating that it is in the open position. You are supposed to adjust them on the base of the cam lobe. Can someone help? Some advice? Thank you.
