The only easy way to do it would be an SCT XCAL2 or another hand held tuner. The next thing would be a custom tune to get max power which would require an hand held tuner then too.

not true. I simple Timing adjuster from steeda, upr, or bbk will work fine. they are cheap and will work great. Try setting it at 14*, then work your way up. 15-16 is about as high as I would go, and run 91-93 octane, and listen for detonation.

I've seen them but wouldn't consider that easier than plugging in a box and pushing a few buttons. That also lets you run the risk of hurtting your motor if you don't know what you are doing. Plus they are $140 thats half way to an SCT Tuner and that has way more potential.

$120 vs. $400

takes less than 30 minutes to install, and Ive never heard of anybody blowing their motor with one. You really dont need to know what you are doing, its the most simple thing Ive ever seen on a 4.6. most people recommend 14-15, it takes 10 seconds to adjust the nob, as with any advance in timing, just run good gas, and listen to the motor.

At least it's more erect and not floppy anymore.
