Alright guys, I just got the supercharger. Let me give some background on my car first.

I have a STOCK 01 gt auto. And I HATE the auto tranny soooo much. It shifts soo late and it seems like I am always out of the powerband, but I guess that is expected with these things. Anyways, the other day I raced my buddies rsx type s (6k bolt ons) from 50 mph on the highway, and he took me all 4 four times! His is stick and was at around 6k-7k RPM. I had o/d off and trac off and when I slammed on the gas my car just couldnt keep up.

What I took away from the race, is that my auto shift way too late and doesnt keep me in my powerband.

Back to the supercharger. I just got a V2-sQ with 80mm ProM MAF, 42# injectors, and a focus fuel pump. These will be the only things installed on my car. Will my car run terribly supercharged with the stock restrictive exhaust???

Which gear would you guys recommend for my 01 gt supercharged AUTO that is a daily driver?

I am obviously getting the car dyno tuned. Does it matter if I get it tuned before I put on the exhaust, or will I have to get it retuned?

Also, I am trying to think of the best way to install this supercharger and get it to the tuner safely. It is about a 30 min drive. How should I do it? I know the MAF is calibrated to the injectors, but could I install everything and just route the stock belt so it doesnt run the supercharger? Then I would just baby it to the tuner. Would this be dangerous?

Also, my last question is if there is anyway I could test to make sure the supercharger is working properly (ie. not leaking oil) without actually running it? I remember reading somewhere about a "soapy water" test. What is that? I just got the supercharger through eBay, and I want to make sure it is in perfect working order. I can tell visibly that it hasn't seen many miles.

I know thats a lot of questions, and I dont expect any1 to answer them all! Just throw in your 2 cents on what you know! Thanks a lot!!

I just orderd my Vortech.
I would put it in, install everything, and drive it to the tuner very easy. as long as you dont get on it, and there is little to no boost, you should be ok. I would also get it tuned after you get everything installed, including the exhaust.

Get a tune, 3.73s, and an offroad pipe in the least.

I like my auto, it runs pretty good...
