Back in the day, you could make 400hp on a stock engine by slapping on a supercharger for about $3k.
Basically, a weekend project.
Are the GT40's aluminum or iron? Anyway,that car should run good. My 87 LX had a basically stock 95 Cobra engine and ran 12.80s @105mph
Knowing what I know now, I’d look for a more modern cam than my E303...but it’s still a learning experience!
Yes, I love the sound of my E303!Same here, but in the E303's defence...it sounds amazing. Wherever I go somewhere people know it's cammed and ask me questions. However, I'm sure theres newer aftermarket cams which give a great sound.

Thst’s also my experience with the letter cam in my car. The rice racers ask “is that a Boss in there?” (“No, I’m the boss” is what I do not answer out loud.)
Gt-40 heads came in several varieties. I think the X version was an aluminum version from Ford Racing Stuff.
