Advice on cam that favors exhaust duration..

I'm currently running an X cam that has a great idle but makes great power with my blower, but I've been seeing that the majority of great cams out there favor more exhaust duration. The X cam has the exact same figures for intake and exhaust, 224/224, .542/.542. Could my engine with a 14 pound blower favor more exhaust duration and lift like the Trickflow Stage 2. It has the exact same figures as the X on the intake side but way more lift and duration. I want an off the shelf cam and not a custom. I am aware that a custom is best, but I dont want to spend the money since I am also building a 460 for another mustang. The Stage 2 is like 150 bucks.

I have a cam with the specs of .555/.565 and 224/232.
i was told that the more exhaust is better becasue you need to get those spent gasses out of ther asap. The X cam is pretty agressive, so get one with similiar specs. Call Ed Curtis, he makes great cams, mine is just a Comp (xe24), but my comp will work great in your car too.
Whats all done to your car? got any HP #s?

If I were you I think I'd spend some time in the sites and on the phone with the cam companies, and see what they recommend for supercharged applications. With a handful of their recommendations, you should have a decent idea of what kind of specs might suit your application. Seems to me in general that anything which helps the exhaust side AND reduces overlap (so you're not blowing your intake boost out the open exhaust valve) will be better suited to a supercharged application. The stage II may or may not work well, but it was designed with a normally aspirated application in mind. I don't think it will take a whole lot of duration to work quite well.

I guess I'm thinking that if you're gonna go to the trouble of a cam change and are really trying for a significant improvement, that selecting one based on price doesn't seem like the best approach.
