Advice on Fan repair cost estimate ?

hi I am in chicago and got a quote from a local shop saying it will
cost 450 to replace my main fan...motor is broke....and he said the whole encasement needs to be replaced.....450 includes tax/labor

I have a 2003 Mustang GT......40K miles....

is this too much or about right for this job.... ? THANKS for your advice

A new ford fan from rockauto,com is 240....aftermarket fans about 100.

Unsure how mechanically able you are but it's prob a 2 hour job max.

450 sounds high to me
