here's the setup i'll be running when all the parts come, what should i set the fuel pressure to? freshly rebuilt 302 (stock block) bored .30 over with 9.2 CR, AFR 165's, lunati street avenger Cam and lifters (.512int/.512ex) 281* duration, comp cams 1.7RR's, trick flow track heat intake, A9L, 73mm C&L mass air meter, 76mm C&L trueflow tube, 70mm BBK TB & EGR, 24lb injectors, adj. BBK FPR & guage, 1 5/8 headers w/ 3" collectors 2.5" off-road h and flowmaster cat back. Is there any real way to tell or will i just have to make sure its running rich then slowly lean it out? maybe get an Air/Fuel monitor?

The ECU will compensate for high or low pressure settings, to a point, so if it was me, i would set it at 40 pounds or so, and see how the things runs. For WOT tho, you would need to get the thing dyno'd, or use Jrichker's seat of the pants dynomometer...do a search, or hope he chimes in. I really don't know for sure tho, so heres a BUMP hoping for more knowledgable info.

im with Blk92. the puter will adapt - problem being that the higher the pressure, the less the duty cycle and vice versa.
guys like Michael and Rick have a real good feel with this stuff - i bet they chime in, in the a.m.

there is some debate that the puter can compensate at WOT as well - even though the o2's are not in use. some say it can, some say it cant. so that is another possible variable.

you mention an a/f monitor. a wideband would be the best way to go.

good luck.

running a scanner or dyno-ing the car would be the best way to dial in what pressure exactly (i would prefer a higher duty cycle, but not at the expense of spray performance). if you go with Blk's suggestion, that should get you in the ballpark.

good luck.
