advice on selling price for a 289...

Hi all,
I'm about to remove the 289 and C4 from my '68 and sell it to make room for a new 347 and T5. As far as I can tell, these are the original parts and the car ran fine before my hack job at it. The guy who bought the 8" rear end from it is also interested in the engine and tranny. The problem is that I have no idea what a reasonable price for the assembly is. I know a lot of it is based on market demands but what would y'all sell this for when posting in the local paper?

I'm just looking for ideas and a good starting point for negotiations.

OK. The carb sticks and the oil pan is dented and I already got rid of the exhaust manifolds. Other than that, I was going to sell of the entire engine, tranny, and driveshaft.
