I bought a set of the AFM/Bassani 1 3/4" short tube headers for my 427. On the anderson website it says 5.0/5.8. I got the set new cheap off ebay, and the only reason i bought them is because the afm site said they were for either. I decided to call AFM and ask them if there were different part number for them. I was told that they only sell one part number for both installs. He then told me that i may have to "wrestle and curse" with the h-pipe to get it to mate up with the headers. I dont understand why they would list them for both motors if they dont fit right. My question for you guys is, being that i am gonna change the exhaust system anyway, should i just take the exhaust off the car and get a system bent for it at a custom shop, or would a h-pipe for a 351 fit better than the 302 one that i have? I am leaning towards the exhaust shop, just didnt know if anyone had some suggestions so that i didnt have to run the car with open headers! Thanks for any help!!
