That really sucks, did you have any symptoms of this before the install? The tune is essential, I got my Cobra with 30K on her, when it got to 40K I had the install of the blower....I now have around 54K...that's 14K of trouble free supercharged miles. If you do need to get the engine fixed, keep the blower on it, but get it tuned somewhere good....get it towed up here to Michigan, it would be worth it to have this guy tune it!!!! Been in business since 1990, and he is the ONLY GUY who does tuning there.....very experienced.

the knocking/rattling noise goes away around 3000 rpm. i'm getting alot of diff opinions of what it could be from pulleys to main caps and even injectors and roller rockers

Just to add to the possibilities.

It could be your cats if your running real rich and the excess fuel is burning them up. Or it could be your timing chains/tensioner if it only happens under a certian load and rpm.

went to big daddy performance, and first off let me say that big daddy dwayne guthridge is one of the nicest guys i've ever met. very professional and talked to me like a person and not as a dollar sign. he took the timing cover and valve covers off to discover a broken passenger side cam sprocket keyway. he's not quite sure how i was able to drive it. lets just hope that is it. he's doing a compression test once the work is done to make sure no valves were bent but based on the car running fairly well and the sound going away at 3000 rpm he feels i may have gotten lucky. lets cross our fingers.

Most kits let you know when it's low.

Good to hear that.

And I'd just like to add that I have no experience w/ your last tuner, big daddy, or LaRocca's.

Just putting that info out there for you.

the afm kit does not have a low level indicator. i've been told that it depends on your driving on how fast the meth will need to be replenished but its not as fast as you would think. the afm kit works off of vacuum lines and does not require wiring for power which is why i went with it. i can do it myself and save a few bucks. i'm going to use the smallest jet which is basically just for a cooling affect and shoudn't need to be retuned.
