afr 205 pushrod length on 302

i got these afr 205 heads, getting ready to bolt on to my stroker. im not for sure if i will need to change pushrod length at all. i would like to have them before final assembly so i can check to make sure valves have enough clearance to the piston. does anyone know what length pushrods i require?

In most cases, the pushrods are the LAST things that people buy. You should measure them yourself if you want the right length. Doing it any other way will just be a guess.

:nice: Agree 100%, depending on your rocker, deck height and gasket thickness it will vary. The best thing to do is get a adj pushrod length checker and measure it, check geometry and then buy pushrods.

I have found on most 0 to -.008 deck height 302's with a AFR185 using a 10111 Fel-pro gasket .039" thick compressed with a Scorpion 1.6 Rocker, 6.25" pushrod works very well.

It is best to always measure.

What they said. :D There are so many variables. A lot of the times your pushrod length may be the same as the next guys but man its nice to know for sure. Goodluck!
