I was set on gettin 165s but now Im thinkin... 185s = More Air. Bigger carburetor = more fuel. So everything is in the equation right?

Here's what I got in case you cant read my sig. 544 lunati cam, Longtubes, o/r X, FM 3chambers, 1.7 rrs, MSD6a, 3.73s are 2 weeks away, and 650 demon carb is on the way too. 5spd by the way.

WHAT YALL THINK????

58cc AFR 165's with upgraded springs will be a nice setup to add with your other mods:nice:

The 185's will cause you to have to get new pistons for sure due to p-v clearance issues.

I was going to get the 165's because I didn't want to deal with having to notch the pistons. Ended up losing my stock motor and buying a 331 shortblock from Brothers Performance with Probe pistons already cut, so went with the 185's instead. I wished I'd upgraded the spring though.... but when you're on a budget......

stroked91 - The 185's are a good choice for your 331 cubic inch stroker...

The Fox - Since you have a 302 the 165's will give you a better overall powerband. The 185's wouldn't give you as much down low "ummppphhh" as the 165's...
