Now I see what all the hype is over with aluminum heads. Jeez! The ONLY things in my combo that changed were the heads, MAF, and injectors...everything else was left alone. The car pulls very noticeably harder now, especially midrange and up top. Not sure what I gained on the low end, because with Thumper's ported E7's I had a killer low end already due to the great velocity. It sure feels nice to shed weight and pick up HP all at one time! I'm trying not to get on it too much, but I did a few quick bursts in 3rd and 4th gear and I can't believe how much harder the car pulls away from "objects in mirror," LOL. I'm thoroughly impressed.

Another thing I'm very pleased with is that the car got louder!! I noticed that the exhaust got louder after the ported heads and cam were installed last time, but back then I had Flowmasters. I got tired of my always-rusting chrome tips a few months ago so I bought Jesse's Magnaflow catback and the car got quieter, which I didn't really mind but I'll admit I missed sounding as intimidating as I did with the Flowmasters. Well, the AFR's took care of that because the car not only idles louder, but at WOT it's sick...the LT's/ProChamber sound so sweet...I'm actually glad I don't have louder mufflers than I do now because my car is daily driven and I don't want to be hassled by the cops all the time.

Anyway, now the car pulls harder than Ron Jeremy's you-know-what and I just have to wonder how long it'll be until I want to go faster. I'm basically done with the bolt-ons...I need to get some LCA's and C/C plates before my new springs/struts/shocks go on and that'll satisfy me in the suspension area. One thing I DO need soon is a clutch and an aluminum driveshaft. My clutch is letting out close to the top, and I've got a pretty intense driveline vibration from 2,400-2,600 or so. Too bad the prices on aluminum driveshafts have gone up so much , I guess I'll look for a slightly used one.

Well, just wanted to update you guys and tell anyone that is thinking of buying these heads to DO IT! If you don't already have a cam, or if you have a mild one, I'd suggest calling Ed Curtis and having a custom made for your setup (like everyone doesn't know that already, LOL). I'm sure I would have been happy with TF Twisted Wedges or the new Edelbrocks but Jesse gave me a great deal on these w/less than 200 miles on them so I snagged `em. No regrets...

HUH?!? Are you kiddin'? I made the thread in 5.0 Talk about NEVER wanting to sell my Stang. Remember, I got rid of the Miata w/the Jackson Ricing supercharger.

There are none of either nearby. Bristol is 2 - 2 1/2 hours away, and I may take it there after I get my suspension mods (need traction). I'd love to have a dyno tune and I've heard there's a good place in Ohio; I just need to find out how far of a drive it is from me. Guys--any good places in VA that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Yes, but they are backordered until August. I don't want to put up with this vibration all summer.

Jordan, glad to hear you're happy.

Excessive Motorsports in somewhere in VA and is a Mustang specialty shop. I'd check into them. I believe they are very fair as far as prices too.

Good luck with the vibration problem...

AWESOME Jordan! I'm really glad you can feel the difference, I truely didn't know if you would or not at least not right off the bat without tuning. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend Kauffman Motorsports in York Springs PA. They will be kind of far for you, but I personally know the work they do and the prices they charge... they get my stamp of approval if it means anything. They are some of the nicest, knowledgable, and down to earth guys I've delt with. Dave is a great tuner.

Weren't you the guy bitching in all those AFR vs. Thumper threads? Maybe we should get Ed to chime in with a few "told ya so's." Next you will be buying a FTI cam. Probably will take Ed to lunch. Then help push his car to the line at racing events. I've seen it a thousand times.

Thanks for all the kind words and advice, guys. Joe and Paul, I appreciate the recommendations; I'll check into those shops when I'm ready for a tune.

Vib, you're too much man...LOL. Actually Ed and I were going out for steak & shrimp next week. You could bring the Heineken if your car was running.

Yea it did, good thing my wife just bought some Jimmy Neutron band-aids. It will run if someone will push me around in it for awhile.
