after market tach with msd box?

Damn msd wont tell me in there diagrams which wire i need to use. my lead wire is green, and the box has two wires which are purple and green. Can anyone tell me which im suppose to use?

on tach (if memory serves correct):
red=power
black=ground
white= lighting
green=msd plug in.

green just plugs into the side of the msd with a female spade connector.

yep, its right on the side of the MSD box... its a male connector.
