after the new quadrant install

I just installed an aftermarket single hook quadrant and firewall adjuster and the thing im noticing is if I put light pressure on the clutch with my foot I hear what seems to be the t/o bearing whining lightly.just wondering why I didnt hear it with the stock quad setup?

Was there slack in the cable with the old quadrant/pawl adjustment? How much preload do you have now?

I got about an inch on top of freeplay,the sound seems like it is the t/o bearing just when it touches the pressure plate,but like I said I dont remember hearing it before.

im wondering if I had the cable adjusted too tight and maybe I bent a finger on the p-plate.

I doubt you damaged a diaphram finger. The TOB's on these things are far from perfect, so it would not be surprising if the bearing is getting a little noisy under certain circumstances. It might just be dumb luck - though you should have been able to make it noisy with a little pedal pressure before too.
