I am looking to replace my tranny and was wondering who you guys think makes the best aftermarket C4 that can handle around 450hp. It is going in my 65 Fastback.
Thanks and happy Easter.

TCI street fighter is a little cheaper than a PA. Both are rated to 450 fwhp as I am sure you know.

I personally have a street fighter and put down 260 rwhp and 253 rwtq with a few things left to change (better exhaust, ditching the street avenger going to a 4777 with the HP main body).

So I am not by any means knocking on the door of 450 but its held fine.

BUT, there is a guy on ebay out of North Carolina that builds the late model c-4s for next to nothing that has 100% feedback and can build them to your specs and it comes with a converter for around $500. That seems like a heck of a bargain.

PA makes some good stuff, I've got one of their C4's and love it. TCI has been having enough quality issues lately to make me avoid them like the plague.

I've been running a TCI Street Fighter for a 1 1/2 years now. No problems at all. A lot of spirited driving. Putting high 300's h.p. to it and so far has held up great.

Look into Dynamic, they are located in Conn. Heard nothing but great things from them, also check out Freddy Brown here in Long Island

I along with several people I know have had issues with Art Carr.

PA racing is the goods, with their high end one they will freshen it for you every year for free as long as you pay the freight.
