i was wanting to know if anyone had put one in there car and since they dont make the chip to fix my stock one anymore i was wanting to know if i could put one in and if any of yall had done it what gauge did you use and how much trouble it was
Just because they dont make the chip to fix thie one you've got anymore doesn't mean you cant pull one from a junkyard, probably get it a lot cheaper too. I've personally never even heard of an aftermarket fuel gauge.
but from what i have herd you have to get the chip out of the same year and motor and stuff like that could i get one out of any 87-93 or would it be 87-90 since mine is an 88 and my speed cluster is out of an 87
All the gauge companies make both fuel sender and dash units. Not sure if you can mix and match with your factory stuff. Normally they are used as a set.
