What do I need (if anything) to make a set of stud mount rocker style heads work on my car? I know I'll need stud mount rockers (if anyone knows of a good set with part numbers in 1.7 ratio chime in). Is there anything else? Thanks.
I'm assuming you're getting stud mount heads (just checking). If they have guidplates (I think most do) you'll also need a set of hardened pushrods, other than that you should be good to go.
I'd recommend measuring for correct pushrod length before ordering the hardened pushrods. And when you have the heads off, it's a great time to do the cam...
Here's the score.. I'm having a set of GT-40P's machined for screw in studs because I don't want pedistal mount rockers..
Will I need to get new valve guides and have them done as well? If so.. where can I get a good set?
