I've got a 97 GT. As with most 94-98 cars, my headlights look like ass. Yes, I could scrub them for a while with some sort of snake oil and get a few shades of yellow off, but that doesn't sound like any fun! I'd rather buy a whole new headlight/corner light assembly.

That being said, I checked out the projectors on eBay and I hate them. IMO they're ugly and expensive. I've fallen in love with the clear diamond/cobra/chrome light kits on eBay. But then I noticed... The smoke/cobra lenses and corners look good, as well! NOT the cheapo GTS Covers, but the actual smoked assembly from eBay.

Should I get the clears or the smokes on my BLACK 1997 GT?

Does anyone have any pictures? Just trying to make up my mind, and I'd like your opinion. Thanks!

Smart move not to get the projector kits... I actually bought them and the passenger side cracked already. I purchased the aftermarket Euro lens and the rubber weather strip fell off already. I had them both for a month. I just ordered a brand new set of these really hot looking "halo" projector one piece headlight / corner lenses. I picked them up on ebay. I don't know anyone who has them yet, they are supposedly brand new.

Well I have had the projectors for a several years now with no issues or problems. I like them and they were great when they first came out, but ... I have decided that I'll get the SMOKEd ones now. I think they will look great on the black car.

Where did you get your smokes from? If they were bought from an ebay auction, do you know where they originated from? (Resto50 or Blue Oval...)

i purchased the cobra style clears for my black 98 GT and i love the way they look. I also debated about getting the smoked ones for a while until i saw a car with the covers on it and it just looked like to much black up front for my taste. I got mine off ebay and i think they are eagle eyes or something like that. Seem to be pretty good quality so far.

You cant go wrong with the clear or the smoke. I have the clear ones and I think they look bad azz.. I bought mine on Ebay for about $30 less then what the other guys were selling them for.
