Yeah I was wondering about the fogging in the cooler temps. I'll deal w/ that when the time comes. I'll give you a call tomorrow after I get out of work about saturday.
I assume you can still use the latch, I intended on it.
Do you have any of under the hood where you mounted the pins?
oh so you put them through the factory holes where the hood stops were?
yea turned the pins in to stops.
Travis dont disregard the stock latch use it in conjunction with the pins.
the only problem I have had was them rusting. make sure 100% of the parts are stainless..IIRC, the autozones will rust, and the ford racing pins are ss, but the clips will rust!
The problem I have with those locks is that they don't look very strong. If you pair them with the stock hood latch, then they may be fine as a supplemental reinforcement.
I'm particularly fond of the Aerocatch locks, myself: AeroCatch

you dont have to have the latch there, lift off hoods dont and stay on just fine.if you have pins do you still need the latch???
I pinned mine but removed the latch. i used the ford racing kit.
Thanks for the link on the Aerocatch latchs. They are a lil costly but I really like them..
I was going to use 1 hood pin under the hood for safety, to keep the hood down just incase the latch failed..
No offense to anyone but IMO-having the chrome pins protruding through any hood thats not a race car, just looks ridiculous.. JMO
The hood pins with cables look cool but after a while your paint will see the consequences from the flapping cables.
Last - I like the cheap pins that take a key better then the ones with a pin..But like I said They just dont look that great to me..
