Aftermarket steering wheel connections

Thanks bud. :nice: I thought I recalled the Bullitts and Mach 1's (and Terminator fronts) being almost identical (rate-wise anyhow), and I recalled your nice Bullitt suspension.

I might have misfigured when thinkin that a portly Mach 1 might kinda equate to a fox vert in terms of weight. The old rear springs (not OEM - I need to research what they are since they're dark blue I think) make the Mach 1 rears look like toys. I might have to see if someone makes some sort of shim or something (I think Steeda had something like that). I shoulda' left well enough alone with the rear springs. DOH.

I went ahead and did a quick ride height check of my car for you to see if it helps any. I measured from the ground to the center of the fender lip, the Front of the car is at around 26 1/4" and in the Rear it is just slightly above 26 1/2", so I have a nice little 1/4" Rake.

Thank you sir. :nice:

I hadn't bothered measuring much till I drove it to let things settle (not the springs so much as everything else, since I had it jacked up every which way during the install). I was down about 3/8" in the driver's side rear (my driver's front is 26.5" and the rear was just over 26").

I started hunting around last night (I thought I recalled someone making a spring spacer for the rear spring perches - it's GW that makes it) and stumbled upon that huge Corral thread where everyone and their brother commented upon having the same basic issue I do. The drivers side rear is the low point on my car, as it is with many others. There was a lot of speculation that it's actually a front-end issue (K member stampings from the factory, etc etc being the cause). The fixes proposed were quite complex so I think I might just shim the driver rear coil a bit to get it closer to being decently raked. My passenger side has good rake, rear to front.

So that's where that's at. :bang:

That sounds like a good fix for now, I have seen that Spacer too and think it would be worth it. Obviously the expensive route would be some MM Adjustable LCAs. The Fronts do have an effect on the height of the rear, I know if guys dont position the front springs properly it will throw off the rear, and for whatever reason most Fox cars are off.
