it is the spacer raising the throttle body up that i'm not sure about. there is not all that much room between the stb and the throttle body.

The original poster mentioned using a spacer. What size spacer do you plan to use (that will affect your decision on brace). I have the same issue. I have the Edelbrock intake with 3/8" spacer, taller valve covers and the Cobra R hood. The stock brace won't fit. I talked to a rep at Maximum Motorsport and he suggested that I may need to get the strut tower brace used for the 351 engine because it is taller. You may want to give them a call. From what I've noticed with my brace clearing the intake isn't the problem - the problem is clearing the TB.

For those that replied - are any of you using an intake spacer and taller valve covers. If yes, then the braces you suggest are probably ok. If no then I don't think those braces will help the poster.

Oh by the way, if you put on an intake spacer, you may need a new hood too?

Peace

good point. that has crossed my mind.....my factory hood may not work. clearance could be a problem. id love to have a cowl hood....just also love to have the extra $ to get one lol. may run a 1 inch spacer.....think i will run into a problem?
