Aftermarket Transmission Cooler

I am in need of an trans cooler because my radiator does not have one, what is a decent size, if my 68 302 is intended for street performance and i live in Texas?:SNSign:

since it will be your only cooler, i would get one rated at around 26,000lb gvw. that will keep your tranny nice and cool.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know the range of temp. the fluid should be for the best performance and longevity of an automatic?

I did some quick research and it seems 170-185 degrees is optimum.

The bigger the better. It's not like the tranny fluid is going to get too cold in Texas.
