Okay, I'm buying my shock and struts today and possibly some LCAs that will go in soon. HOWEVER I am torn between these two sets of shocks and struts!

Tokico HP: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7980750418&category=33590&sspagename=WDVW
Bilstein HD: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7981504182&category=33590&sspagename=WDVW

Which should I get? The tokico's are $200 which would allow me to get better LCAs, or should I go with the Bilsteins and get Steeda LCAs? Are the Bilsteins TRUELY worth the extra $200? Right now I'm on H&R springs and stock shocks. :notnice:

PLEASE help me decide! I'd like to put the order through by 5 pm EST!

With you springs I would run the bilstiens I think. I was torn as well when I bought. I just like the reliablity of the bilsteins and the fact that almost every performance car runs them they obvioulsy must be good.

If you buy the hp's I would run the fox body ones. 1" shorter.

Sounds like Bilsteins are going to be the choice for me. The Tokikos I'm sure are great, but I agree that LOTS of performance cars run with Belsteins. For a reason I'm sure, and they include a lifetime warranty if I'm not mistaken.

What's the deal with the LCA? Does the shock/strut influence what type of LCA to get?

Oh, one more...spring rate? Do I need to order the Bilsteins and have them set for my particular springs ahead of time or do they just come as is?

Oh, also, does anyone have instructions on how to replace these bad boys? I did the springs myself with a friend and he is a motorhead so he should be able to figure it out. But is there anything I should be careful with?

$465 is a good price. I've looked around. Where?

I contacted MM and got a couple of pointers. A tech said if you didn't install shorter pinion snubbers when the springs went in you'll want to. Also, you will want to install CC plates to space the strut top upward.

He said (of course) that the Bilsteins would be the best ride. I'm going to order.

Bils for the win. i have never heard anyone disapointed with them or replacing them with something else. and yes the 2000 Cobra R comes with bilstines, and stated earlier Maximum motorsports pushes them as their best option with any good spring, coilover, and package combo. there is a reason, not like a turbonator, the just rock... getting mine once i replace my busted wheels and new tires.
