Hey guys, I tried a search, but didn't find the answer.
Anyone know how to clear airbag codes? Without resorting to just taking-out the dash bulb :D I had a hard code 44 showing one time (indicating right front crash sensor bad connection) but then it switched to code 84 after about 1 week, which apparently means the problem is no longer present, so its kind of a soft code I guess  I tried unhooking the battery for a while today, but the light is still flashing "84".

I have to take the car in for safety inspection next month so I can transfer-over the plates, so I don't want any trouble or unnessessary (sp?) expenses.

Thanks for any ideas

Stephane, go to the bottom of this page (about 4/5 of the way down the page or so). You'll see diagnostic code clearning in bold. Follow the procedure.

The connector you need is grey and behind the glovebox as depicted. It also might actually be under the glovebox (I left mine there so I can access it real easy). CManT1914 once put up pics of the connector but I dont have a link saved (I dont think it was a thread he started).

Good luck bud.

If you reset the codes (connector) it will probably come back on.

Intermittent or Repaired RH Radiator Primary Crash Sensor Not Mounted to Vehicle

is what the code says. I would look and make sure the crash sensor has a good connection, if you reset the codes and it comes back on. My brother had a code like that and fixed it by cleaning up some behind the sensor.

I appreciate the help guys :nice:
I'll reset the DTC in the morning and see if it comes back.

If it does, do you know of an easy way to get to the front-right crash sensor? Can I get to it from under the hood? Or do I need to take-out the inner fender? Thanks again

The crash sensors are adjacent the hood latch assembly. There are a couple of bolts that hold each one down and a tang/receiver to index each sensor. 30 seconds to remove a given one.
