I bought a Cold Air Intake System off of ebay a few months ago (which is acutally rusting). It came with a cone filter. Will getting a cone filter with an "open mouth" like in the link below make more power, be worth while?

If it comes with GTR stickers, I'd say it's good for 50-75rwhp.

Well a filter with more "filter element" there than another type filter.Common sence will tell you that its going to flow more air.But in all honestly ,if you dont have a "cold air kit" that actually places the filter in the fenderwell and closed off from the engine compartment its not entirely a "cold" air kit...Although one helps more than the stock airbox, but hot air from the engine compartment dont help the situation any.

I do have a cold air intake already installed and everyting. I just was thinking about blowing money on what looks like a better flowing filter.

I thought the GTR were rated 75-100 rwhp? I might be wrong. I know the v-tec stickers are good for at least 50 to the wheels.

Does anyone know the diameter the tubes are for a Mustang Cold Air Intake (2003). I wanna get the "open mouth" type filter for my car but I dont know if it is a 3 inch or 2 1/2 opening.
