Ok i installed a sunpro a/f gauge yesterday and its acting really weird, it only starts to read at around 2.5K RPM and if you even tap the gas it goes off the chart rich or if you let off at all its off the chart lean. I read something in a search that says you need to install a new wideband O2 sensor and not use the existing one...is this true or can you continue to use the 02 that is in it or what? thanks

The stock O2 sensor switches voltage from .2 to .6 volts across a very narrow range of air/fuel ratios - 13.25:1 to 15.25:1. It does this 10-20 times per second at cruse. Therefore the indicator jumps from lean to rich and back again by simply playing with the throttle.

The fix is the wide band O2 sensor, which will probably be more expensove than the stock sensor. In addition, you will have to have a bung welded on the exhaust pipe to install the new O2 sensor
