I think I'm looking for a cold air intake - I'm looking to add about 8 - 10 hp with a bolt-on. I'd like my car to breath easier.I see MAC and K&N but I don't know. I'd like to get opinions and experiences to better decide what is best for my model car.
ChrisWorrell said:just the steeda intake alone? becuase i just finished installing my steeda CAI and im curious how much of an improvment it was
(im just using it as a guesstimator/tach). i agree completely the dyno would be the tell all final truth that would settle all of this hoopla. The full set up, maf , tune and all go for around 330 dollars i think.

NO WAY! Are you serious? Post some pics of it.raykrv6a said:Did 11 runs on the DynoJet today after installing the JLT RAI on my 04 GT. All were hot pulls with no cool down, adjusting the fuel first and then pulling timing back until I started to lose power. I also tested the stock Ford HP tune against the fine tuned Predator tune. Predator is worth 5-6 hp on hot pulls. Stats below are using the Predator tune.
Peak hp tq
Stock CAI/K&N/no Silencer 241.5 282.9
Tuckers RAI 247 289-290
The big difference is the after the peak hp and tq. The hp and tq don't drop off like the stock CAI(with silencer removed) with the spread going to 8-10 hp and 9-11 tq at 5700.
Drives great and going to the track tomorrow. Work on my 60 ft times and try to get into the 13's.
