air intake temperature

No, I am talking about relocating the AIT itself into the fender. I have a functional ram air that will be less than an inch from the filter...at 20+ it will be getting pure fresh air pouring onto the filter and in turn down the engine. The AIT in 02-04s is not seperate and is built into the MAF...the MAF is pretty darn close to your motor and the engine heat will heat the entire housing up, that is *tricking* the AIT into thinking its sucking in hot air, when its really just being heated by the engine, thats why when you get moving it cools down....air circulates and starts cooling everything down, and your engine temp drops, as well as there being a larger valume of air being sucked in (more RPMs and load) and that all helps. Well thats the theory anyways, Ill see.
