air silencer mod?

in the stock intake isnt there a honycomb peice in the middle that i can take out? i read it in a magazine that itll add a considerable amount of power?

In 5.0 Mustang they actually saw a power loss when they took that out.... hmmmm. Can anyone verify either of these findings?

about a year ago, in one of the mags, they saw a 2HP gain....that is within the margin of error.....

dont waste your time taking it out, wait until you get a CAI.

We had a big discussion on this before. IIRC the honeycomb was deleted mid way through the 05 MY.
Also removing it did give a slight HP gain, 2 - 3 HP.

It was not a silencer, it was a hydrocarbon trap.

i believe it was in April that they stopped using the HC trap.
