alright pretty much a stock intake setup.. sorta.. ghetto cold air.. pretty much a K&N zip tied to the MAF box (which is the air silencer box?) well either way ive heard goo about getting rid of the air silencer.. my question is where is it and what do i have to do to get rid of it? any tips would be great..

and also.. ive heard that you get a bit better performance from unplugging the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator? if so do you just unplug and plug off the vacuum line?

one last thing.. where the hell is the PCV valve? and what do i gotta do to replace the bugger..

The silencer is inside the fenderwell. But from the sound of it you have already removed it if your air filter is zip tied to the airbox.

Who ever told you to drive around without the vacuum line plugged in, stop listening to them. :)

And the PCV valve is in the back of the intake manifold. Hopefully someone can post a pic of where it is exactly. Not hard to get to though I changed mine with the manifold in place.

Once you go to WOT, that removes vacuum from the regulator, which does the same thing. You will run rich at idle and part throttle if you remove the line and plug the nipple on the vac tree.

the computer will eventually adapt to the increased FP at non-WOT situations(shorten the injector pulsewidth), but it will mess with the puter at WOT. the puter knows FP goes up at WOT, and you could run a little lean at WOT as it expects more pressure than at idle.

my PCV is on the pass side of the rear lower intake (opposite of my 88GT).
