Please help, i have a 01 v6...i just bought it and the cruise control harness behind the steering wheel was unplugged....i bought the car with a reconstructed title....it has moderate front end damage...would it be safe to plug this back in or where could i locate the airbag sensors just in case?

Are you sure it's the cruise control harness? It may be the airbag connector, if the collision set off the airbag and the seller disconnected the system to get rid of the airbag light. It's not illegal to drive a car without a functioning airbag, and you'll have to address the risk issue on your own, but you'll want to get it looked at and see if you have an airbag or not. A damaged but unfired system can be dangerous...

Maybe

My cruise control doesnt work, my passenger side airbag has been deployed...and im pretty sure the steering wheel airbag has been replaced because it is off color with the rest of the wheel (Darker Gray)...the harness seems to lead to both the CC and the airbag attached to the wheel assembly...im completely clueless...i recently checked the 2 sensors i was able to locate behind the pony emblems on the fenders and the results being: the passenger fender sensor was missing and the drivers sensor still in tact...it was hit on the passenger side bumper, the person i bought it from told me he hit a curb (Although i was told when taking it for inspection that there was moderate frame damage)...i have no clue where to go from here, recently i took it out and it had a sputter when i gave it alot of gas (Past 3000 RPM's) and it got to the point when i gave it gas it wouldnt gain speed. i shut off the car and turned
it back on and it gave a little help (Would actually go up to speed) but it still sputtered. After i gave it about two days rest it acted normal again, but as soon as i gave it hell it started doing it again....Please any feedback would be greatly appreciated...im about to take a 500 mile trip and im hoping to fix the issue beforehand...

It sounds like you have a car that has been through a lot more than you were led to believe. Do you have a check engine light? I'd have a car parts store check for codes and go from there. It sounds like you have some engine work to do, but it's hard to say what's wrong without seeing the car.

Your airbag system probably doesn't work at all, even though it looks like the drivers bag has been replaced. I would just remove the air bag and deactivate the system. The dealer or a repair shop won't do anything besides repair the system back to 100%, and that's $$$$, so you're on your own on that!
