My 1990 LX 5.0 Hatchback now has a tilt steering column from an '88. the car knows it dosent have a steering wheel airbag and I really, REALLY desire to disconnect the Beeper! HELP!!
Mucho Thanks! This afternoon I did just that. Turned out I needed to replace my radio anyway, so I went in and poped off the blue box and pulled it out enough to pop off the plugs! Finally Silence!
I vaguely remember trying to take the box w the beeper in it out of one of my many foxes and I had problems. I think it didn't run. It's been a while but that beep is for many other things other than airbag. It does all the beeping for any/all concerns w the car that requires an idiot beep. Try and unplug but be ready to just break the beeper and leave the module . I think that's what I did.
I had a car that had that airbag diagnostic module short and wipe out a lot of other electrical. I unplugged it, fixed the other issues and everything worked out just fine. No ill effects to any other systems.
