Any ideas what might be causing this?

I tried jumping the pins in the harness under the glove box and I never heard a chime....the codes didn't clear.

I read that it can be a bad clock-spring in the steering wheel. However they also mentioned that cruise and the horn would no longer work and mine do.

Not sure what's going on then. I've cleared a couple airbag codes that way, and it always worked for me.

Did you read the link that earlys94gt listed? Code 32 is a connector problem in the driver's airbag system. Have you disconnected any wiring recently?

Code 32 indicates that the problem still exists (hard code). When the problem is no longer there (fixed), 40 will be added to the code (in your case, 72), which is a soft code. Only then can you clear the code. A hard code cannot be cleared from the computer until the problem no longer exists.
