Airbag help..

On my '92 Mustang the Air bag light has come on..
It flashes like so..

Flash-- Flash-----Pause----- Flash---- Repeat..

Can anyone help? Not the Clock spring and it took it to the dealer.. They said they might be able to fix it for $800.. I said no thanks..

Any help would be GREAT!!

remove the airbag puter and call it a day. Its behind the hvac controls.

Code 21 is for the LH B Pillar Sensor but the Diagnostic Monitor is usually the culprit of that Code, you will need to snag one from a 1992 or 1993 only as that is what will work with your Car, its not too bad to swap out.

Update!
It is code error 12 not 21.. oops..
It says loss of battery power? Could that be the diagnostic moniter?

Any help would be GREAT!

Yes, And I put on the spare just in case... Still blinks.. Somone said something like diagonstic monitor??

Looks like there are two fuses 7 & 18. A blown fuse 7 will generate a code 12 as will any other loss of power to the diagnostic monitor. Either the diagnostic monitor is not getting power or it is bad.

My car has 14,000 original miles.. Never had an alarm system, or stereo in it. All stock.. And both fuses are good.. Checked them 3 times.. I ordered a new moniter from Ford today.. $250!!! Ouch!! Hope this fixes it!

Code 12 was the Diagnostic Monitor in my 92. Wear some good Mechanics Gloves that come up over your wrists as there are some sharp edges reaching in there.

Any more tips before I remove it? Also.. How hard is it to remove? Is there a diagram to show how to remove?
