Has anybody bought one of those? How do they hold up? I am seriously considering buying one. Do they come with a warranty? Any good or bad comments? Thanks.....

PS-I'm talking abou the ones he posted about in the tech thread.

I'm not sure, but I am not satisfied with her service, heres my saga...

Bought a cartridge. Get it in the mail go to install it and find that the water fittings are a different thread. Turns out the only place where I could get them locally only had them in aircraft fittings. Oh well....$35 for fittings. Install turbo. Everything is fine for a couple hours of run time. Then I hear this horrible squeal and no more boost. Take turbo off and there is horrible shaft play and the compressor wheel conatacted the housing. Call Bev. She says to send it back to warranty it. I tell her I need a turbo because I need to drive the car to Arizona in two weeks and there is no time. She says to pay for another one then. I tell her to send it COD. I wait a week and no turbo. I call her and she never recieved payment so she didnt send it???? I have to pay an extra $50 to get it overnight delievered and it finally comes. This turbo has the same water fittings as my original, so I bought the other fittings for no reason. I put it on and it is still working great 2000 miles later. In the mean time, I had sent the other turbo back (another $10 shipping) with a note telling her the situation and who I am inlucding a cellphone # and e-mail addy. The day before I leave for Arizona I call ask if she recieved it yet. She says oh yeah about a week or two ago. I ask whats going on with it. She tells me its waiting to get looked at. I say OK, and to let me know ASAP whats going on with it. I get to Arizona and take care of everything involved with moving into a new place. About 6 weeks after moving in my frined asks me what up with the turbo. I totally forgot about it, so I call Bev. She informs me that her machinist just got surgery and wont be back for a week. I call back 3 weeks later. The machinst is out for the day and she will let me know tomorrow. A week later, he is looing at it today. I call another week later, and am informed that it is not going to be warrantied because the fins hit the housing. BUT, if I want then they will rebuild it for only $100!!!!! I havent talked to her since then. She never once called me, I had to call her everytime. I will never deal with them again, it is horrible customer service, I dont care how small a business they run. She is very nice on the phone, but two faced or something. I spent $110 extra on overnight shipping, return shipping, aircraft fittings, and then by the time I bought the second turbo they had raised the price $15. I asked her is she could send me the difference between the one I bought I bought $145 and the warranty amount $100...so all I wanted is $45 even though I was intitled to well over $100 for the hassle. I bet if she would have refunded the money she would have taken off $.35 for the postage stamp.

I would much rather pay $300 for a turbo from a reputible turbo shop that is local, and gives you a real warranty, not a "we'll take care of you.......maybe" type of warranty.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!
