Alarm stopped working after battery change..

So my battery died and I went to replace it. When I was putting it in, the red cable sparked on something and the aftermarket alarm went off. I was a little shocked but went on with my work and then turned on my car to find that the alarm simply didn't work. Everything else is fine, my alarms just seems to be nonexistant. I have the kind with the red LED to left of the steering wheel. The led doesn't blink anymore either.

Means you likely blew a fuse when you accidentally grounded out. Check wherever the fuses are for the alarm, usually tucked up nder the dash or in the engine bay.
