Does anyone know about a shop that guarantees their alignment. I want to align my car but I'm gonna get a suspension soon and I don't want to pay for realignment. By the shop I mean a national chain that's in my area. Thanks.

I don't think any shop will realign your car for free after you make changes to your suspension. I just had my car aligned for $40.00. Is your alignment off bad now? If it isn't I would just wait until you make the changes to have it done.

I went to NTB last time for my alignment and they offer a 1 year, 3, and 5 year free alignment plan. http://ntb.com/Alignment.aspx

can't remember the exact cost but I think the 5 year was $150 or something close to that.

If you have Firestone auto shops in your area they offer a LIFETIME wheel alignment for $140. Not a bad deal considering its usually $50 for a one time thing.

that makes no sense at all. no shop will guarentee anything like that!

you are basically saying your want to pay me for doing an alignment now on your stock car. then you redo your whole suspension and then you expect me to warranty something that was messed up b/c of what you did to the car?!?!?!?!

if you came in my shop with that i would tell you to pay up the $99 charge for a lowered car alignment!!!

you shouldnt rip people off like that!! people like me make our living working on cars and we really dont appreciate getting shafted doing stuff on warranty!!

in the firestone i work at they take any vehicle in for alignment and offer the lifetime....but the thing that sucks is if you make any modifications to it then they void it.........but any mustang i see at a particular time and then come back lowered i dont say anything to the advisors and just align it. However i do talk to the customer about a few things involving there car

Also alot of those Firestone, Merchants/NTB free plan alignments aren't all they are cracked up to be. I can't count how many times I seen oil change tire kids align cars and have no clue as to what they are doing. The Flatrate techs get paid jack ***** to do it and they rather not fool with it. It is cheaper for the shop to collect your money and pay an oil change kid nothing to do the work because he is hourly any damn ways.

With that comes hurting the customer. Do they get a good alignment for that price? No. Half the time they get a half assed alignment that they paid too much for to begin with. The other day, I had to reject a vehicle because the tires that have good tread on them, are showing though the secondary rubber due to the fabulous alignments(lack of alignments I should say) that Firestone has been doing. All I could say was, you had them align it, maybe you should inquire why your alignment is so bad and have them fix it.

For the thread start, I have yet to see any shop Guarantee their alignments unless they screwed it up.

Chill out. I'm not taking my car to your crappy shop. There are shops that will offer lifetime alignment for a premium price. Go drink a coke.

I got Lifetime alignment from Firestone 4 years ago and they are still aligning my car for free whenever I want. I have also done 2 separate spring upgrades that they have not cared about and they have seen my MM CC plates and all the upgrades.

Now I may be lucky since the shop managers know me by now and I spend a mess load on tires and send lots of people to the shop since this one does good work (yeah they are hard to find but this one does good work).

However, after you drop the car or something like that the computer at these places doesn't know what should be in spec any more. So you have to tell them what you what it aligned to. For instance MM recommends different caster/camber then what the computer at Firestone says, but the align me to the specs I request.

SaleenGT2001, I have been meaning to get out to you and have you double check it....Check PM.

and what is that suppose to mean??
i charge based on what the job calls for. ask any shop if they will align a lowered car for the same price as a stock one. not many will, and the ones that do most likely have no idea what they are doing. there is more to an alignment than in spec and out of spec. i can take any car you want and align it where it will wear the tires evenly and never even look at any specs.

like i said. if anyone is looking for a GOOD alignment just shoot me a PM!

i will guarentee you wont find anyone who will align a car better than me
