O.K. I have done a search on an alignments and now I'm more confused. I have an eibach pro kit installed on an 05 GT. The alignment shop said there was no adjustment and showed me on the computer that the factory fix was to slot the two lower strut bolt holes. He said that I did not need camber bolts, which I have on order. The camber bolts say they go in the top strut bolt hole. So does the top hole adjust the camber and the lower hole adjust the caster???? It just doesn't seem right to me. Any help from someone that has had this done would really help before I elongate the wrong hole.

DO NOT LET THEM CUT HOLES IN YOUR STRUTS! Use the camber bolts you have on order. They do the same thing but use the correct method of doing it. Id find a different shop to go to...

I don't have the camber bolts in hand but I have read that you have to elongate the holes for them to fit. Also if the stock holes have no adjustment, then without elongating them where would the adjustment come from??

The bolts shaped like a half moon (smaller than holes) you turn them to get +/- camber. I have a set on my bench, if I can find my camera ill take a pic. You shouldn't have to cut anything. I have a pro-kit and I barely even needed the cam bolts. Also I beleave the caster is adjusted by the lower A arm bolts. I not 100% sure

I too have the pro-kit and the camber bolts. The caster would adjust at the lower suspension arm but you would have to find a way to move them. I've never seen one. The little extra caster has never bothered me and my tire wear is even. I'd go with the camber bolts and call it good.

I have the cam bolts, because they are smaller than the mounting hole I can see where they would give some adjustment. The shop I went to said to elongate the lower hole. The instructions that came with the cam bolts say to use them in the upper strut hole. Is this where you installed yours? My camber is out about .5 (-1.9 actual, spec.range -1.3 -0.3) but it sure wears the inside of the tires fast.

My alignment guy installed them in the lower hole. To tell the truth, I don't think it matters.

I do alignments for a living. Honestly either way would be acceptable as long as the person elongating the holes could do it without hacking it up but MY personal preference would be the camber bolts if for no other reason other than you can adjust the front end very accurately in very small increments to achieve a desired number where as with elongated holes you lift the vehicle loosen the bolts move the wheel tighten the bolts and hope for the best. I would personally want the most accurate alignment possible when I do my mustang

Thanks, would you use the cam bolts in the upper strut hole like the instructions say or does it matter?

THe mounting of the camber bolts depends upon the type of bolt. The Spec-EZ bolts from specialty parts is mounted in the upper mounting hole. The FFRP bolts that come with the FFRP Strut / Damper package are used in the lower holes with the holes enlogated in order to allow the bolts to do the job.

I was able to use the Spec-EZ bolts (I had both kinds) and putting them in the upper holes allowed me to get the car back into spec without enlongating the lower mounting holes.

Thanks, I'll just follow the instructions and install them in the upper hole and hope for the best.
