alignment settings????

I lowered my car with eibach pro kit and koni adustables and was wondering.....are there certain settings for camber, caster, toe??? I have a 95 gt vert with steeda CC plates and steeda bumpsteer kit. Does any one know of a good alignment shop around southeast VA....Virginia Beach, Hampton>>>

caster - as much as you can dial in on each side
camber - for an agressive street setting i would aim for ~ -1* on each side.
toe - stock, cant remember what it is set at

I'm looking for regular driveability....nothing fancy, i just dont want my tires to wear....which comes to my next point...I need to get new wheels and looking at getting possibly 18x9's. Will this change my alignment settings!!!

I agree with GTPhreak. The service manual lists these as:

item = minimum (nominal) maximum

camber = -1.35° (-.60°) +.15°
caster = +2.65° (+3.40°) +4.15°
toe = 0° (+.25°) +.50°

I didn't think factory settings would play a factor on a lowered car....

Mine's lowered with factory CC platers, and I had it set to -1.0° camber, non-adjustable caster, and +.25° toe after lowering. Maybe your thinking that the factory settings wouldn't stay within spec after it was lowered...

I wouldn't use factory settings on a lowered car -- it's going to behave differently (i.e. increased understeer), so I'd try to get the alignment optimized as much as possible. Factory is pretty conservative.

What settings should I be running for camber and toe on my 1 1/4" lowered GT? I can't adjust caster as I don't have CC plates. Are CC plates important to get so you can adjust caster on a lowered car? Does it really make a difference on a 100% driven street car, or is it one of those things that is just a tiny bit better, but blown out of porportion by internet myth? (like performance from motor mounts)

I would consider C/C plates more important for camber adjustment (when you can't dial in correct camber with the stock plates due to lowering), caster is a nice bonus (the factory caster settings frequently suck. My 94 GT had factory caster that was out of the "factory spec").

And I wouldn't discount the performance improvement from motor mounts . Fewer missed shifts!
