The 7.5 rear end from a TC is 3/4" wider I understand? That is not for each side, right?
I discovered that my rear brakes have absolutly no stopping power. The E-brake works ok, but I can slam on the brakes hard as I want in the snow, and the rear tires don't lock up. Instead of trying to find the problem, and fix it (which is probably simple as adjusting them ) I think it would be nice to build up a TC rear end to throw under there. I could put in my 4.10's, get a t-lock (or posi as Cro like to call it ) in there, and enjoy the "wider is better" looks, handling and REAR DISK BRAKES. Seems like an obvious solution to a simple problem.
.... hmmmm, maybe I should swap to 5 lugs now too. Which cars out there would have a 7.5 rear end with disk brakes and 5 lugs? I do NOT want to go to an 8.8, because it is heavier, and the A4ld will break long before the 7.5.
My local U-pull it rarely has cool cars. I have only seen 3-4 TC in total, but they always have lots of V6 thunderbirds and cougars.
