Almost got is started... kind of a whoohoo??

Everything checks out... Turned it over and got a pretty loud back fire. It kind of got a good "burble" sound just before the backfire, but would not start.

I am wondering if I the distributor stabbed at TDC. I could have sworn I confirmed it before putting on the valve covers???

Any ideas? Thanks

Back fire = timing. Number one cyl on the cap, timing pointer at "0", #1 Piston TDC....

Thanks. I check it tomorrow evening. There was a "checklist" that someone put together for a no start stituation on EFI. It may have been over on the 5.0 tech side. Too tired to search tonight.

I'll see what I can dig up... I did get all the wiring loomed back together after my fuel pump relay wiring fiasco. So when it does start, I can be free from the mess.

Timing it was... I had the timing set on the exhaust stroke. Woops. Got it all set now.

I do now have another concern. I had a small amount of fuel which had run out of the fuel pressure regulator. It was not a lot, but still leaking.

Is it a nessesity to have an adjustable FPR?
