Well i was about to say it's more likely that it's an '84 nose with a Xenon valance on it, considering how rare '84 Saleens are. But, the valance does look to be a 3 piece design with the separate fender extensions and the Xenon valance is one piece so it might be. Even still, '84 Saleens are a rare breed, it's a little hard to believe it's a legit nose vs. something aftermarket. Either way you could make the exact same look with an '84 bumper and Xenon valance.

EDIT

Yeah check that, no way that's a Saleen valance. Here's the real deal, look at the difference in the openings and how much lip there is at the bottom. That's definitely an aftermarket valance on an '84 nose. It also looks like the Saleen valance was a one piece design too.

Yeah i gotta say the '84 Saleen is butt ugly IMO. Saleen started off real rough with his body kits. I never was much of a fan of the '83-84 noses either but i could make an exception for an '84 GT350. I much more prefer the square lights and grill of the '79-82 noses and i especially like the grill pattern on the pace car and '82 GT noses which were different from the rest of them.

I would like the headlight covers better if they were fitted correctly. They need to look like part of the kit vs. something that was added and ready to fly off at highway speed.

Wow, love the red car.

That Saleen looks beat, it's not new one from 1984. Seeing there is a new Mustang behind it shows you this 84 is beat and that's why the front end doesn't fit correctly.

Same here. Heck, I'd probably drive it anyway.

82 Gt/79 Pacecar front end is the best lookin 4 eye front end imo.

I've been toying with the idea of putting that valence on my car. LRS sells one for ~$230.

Hate is such a strong word...my car had an '84 front end, and I could live with it, but it certainly wasn't my fav...I actually thought about the '82 GT front end, and then found '85 GT parts, and a good set of all the body mouldings...decided I liked them better.

That car look awesome but if I can be picky for just one second, it needs side skirts to set it off.
