Bored, just wanna post a few pics of my accomplishments, dropped the motor in last week, now I just have to finish bolting everything up, and finish painting, got my door handles shaved so just have to make sure you cant see where they used to be, and my as@hole friend scratched my engine bay helping me drop the motor in, you guys that shaved you engine bays, did you paint your brake fluid and windsheild resoivors, saw them painted on a ss and looked real nice, but after I drop my motor in Im gonna have to go over my engine bay.

I know one thing for sure. If you don't have a buddy as a track tech inspector at the track you plan to race at those shaved door handles will get you booted. I have a friend I race with that has a blown 383ci sbc in a '76 pickup with shaved door handles. They let him race only because he leaves a key fob attached to the toolbox in the bed on the driver's side. Also, he tells them that if they need to they can use the 'Jaws of Life' to cut him out if needed and not to worry about the truck.

I've heard the same thing about the shaved door handles. Maybe if you install a roll bar with a window net you'd be OK if you left the window down.
