Like the title says? I really need a set of hood pins, my hood has opened on me a few times while driving (thankfully it did not fly open:shock:) but I don't really think hood pins would look good on my car. Is there any alternatives?

those look sweet! there is always the good ole zues fasteners, and if that dont work the chain and a pad lock never fails :rlaugh:! i like the zues fasteners the best and are a piece of cake to instal! peace

Here is a close up picture of the aerocatch on my car. I havent painted it yet, but they are not much larger than the conventional hood pin plate, and i really cant see how they would ever fail.

I was thinking the aerocatch myself. Thanks for being a pioneer and showing me. Did you use the stock hood bumper location to mount the pegs? What did you have to cut up on the underside to get them to mount... I have a cervinis 2.5 which I am nervous to do surgery on.

I'd like to see how that looks painted... I like the concept of them but they look close to twice the size of a regular hood pin and dzus fastners to me look a little more buisness like

I put the pin right where the factory bumper was.

There was a scary moment when i first started cutting into a brand new hood, but all said and done, its not that bad of a job to do. You will need to make a slightly larger cutout on the inside of the hood so you can install the nuts on the bottom.

These are paintable as well, so if you cant stand the 2.75" x 4.9" hood pin, you can alway paint them to match the car.
